TENUTA REGALEALI WINERY, Sicily

Acquired by the Tasca d’Almerita family in 1830, Tenuta Regaleali is the Tasca’s flagship estate located in the highlands of central Sicily. Committed to the promotion of Sicilian indigenous varieties, the Tasca family is an ambassador for Sicily and the Contea di Sclafani DOC. Under the leadership of Alberto Tasca, the estate has won numerous awards for their dedication to sustainability, including the highly coveted Robert Parker Green Emblem award.

Bianco- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

A blend of Izolia, Grecanico and Catarratto with a small percentage of Chardonnay. Aromatic, crisp and silky.

Grillo- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste

Made entirely of Grillo, a grape most known for the wine ‘Marsala’, this wine is zippy and perfectly rounded. A lovely patio wine!

Nero d’Avola- $14.99/btl $2.50/taste

This is a juicy, delicious Nero d’Avola. A far cry from the hot-hot Etna Neros that I’m well, not a fan of… but that’s just me. This wine has dried-cherry, herbs, and fresh orange peel and it’s just dang good.

Guarnaccio Perricone- $19.99/btl $2.50/taste

Perricone is known by many names. At Regaleali, they call it Guarnaccio, outside of the Contea di Sciafani DOC it’s mostly called Pignatello (and I theorize that it is also the same grape as Pignolo in the Veneto but I have nothing but smell, taste and kinda the same name to make this claim… so… the search for the truth continues!) Perricone is delicious. Violets, blackberry and an earthiness like no other. xoxo
