Halozan White Blend 2022- $15.99/liter $2.50/taste
A blend of Welschriesling (which is its own varietal not related to Riesling), Chardonnay, Furmint and Pinot Blanc from Slovenia! This is a very typical of the region white blend bursting with chamomile, stone fruits and lemon notes! A delicious treat in the heat. This wine longs for spring, just like me!
Semeli ‘FEAST” Agiorgitiko 2022- $12.99/btl $2.50/taste
A banger of a little Greek wine made predominately of the native varietal Agiorgitiko as well as 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. These grapes are hand-harvested from steeply sloped vineyards and chilled back at the winery overnight to allow a long, cool pre-fermentation maceration. The color is dark red, with long, silky tannins and aromas of wild, forest strawberries and cherries. A steal at $12.99.
Evesham Wood Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022- $29.99/btl $2.50/taste
I LOVE THIS WINE. I LOVE THIS WINE SO MUCH. Graceful and elegant, with bright acid and seductive mossy aromas that just make me daydream of Oregon. I literally yelled when I found out this wine was available again in Ohio, and thusly made the (unwise, possibly) choice to go out of the price point I try to stick to for these events. BUT IT’S JUST SO GOOD AND I WANT YOU TO TASTE IT!
Vega Sindoa Cabernet Sauvignon 2018- $15.99/btl $2.50/taste
Coming in hot from Navarra, Spain is the Vega Sindoa Cabernet. “Round and Appealing” is how the Bodegas Nekeas Winery describes this wine… and I’m into it. I mean, if anyone called me that… anyways! Black fruit, tea and chocolate notes dominate the glass and I’d describe the finish as… well, round and appealing.
